The Center for Human Emergence

In 2007 I was invited to attend a Confab – an interactive gathering at the Center for Human Emergence in the Netherlands. I learned so much and heard from many speakers how evolutionary theory and new forms of listening and interaction, inspired by Spiral Dynamic Integral and Theory U, was really being applied in police work and corporations in Europe. It was quite exciting.

CHE was started by Don Beck and Peter Merry. Don authored Spiral Dynamics and together, Don and Peter created The Center for Human Emergence in the Netherlands as a global meshwork of organizations devoted to action and learning for global transformation from an integral perspective. CHE-logo

I am thrilled to see the work that is done, with great dedication, by my friends at CHE in projects that range from supporting the United Nation’s millenium goals relating to maternal health, to business consulting, government support through their Hague Center for Governance and most recently, their spearheading of the Global Transition Initiative which will launch at the World Forum in Washington, DC next March, focusing on Climate Leadership by 2020.

I know the depth and wisdom that is behind this initiative and I am deeply grateful for the passion and purpose being expressed through these very dedicated human beings. Keep a look out for these initiatives. Keep abreast of CHE and Peter Merry, human ecologist, father, global activist, synnervator, folk singer…. on Peter’s site. You won’t regret it.
