16 Ways – The Exploration of Opposities with Dylan in NYC

Ken Wilber is perhaps the most prolific thinker of our time around consciousness. I could get through his earlier works but as the theories became more complicated, reading about them became more difficult for me. I find I learn better through experiencing something in my body. That is why the work of Dylan Newcomb blows me away!

Dylan NewcombOne year when I was attending a weekend gathering at the Center for Human Emergence in Holland, Dylan had us DANCE Wilber’s Four Quadrants. Oh my God – I ‘got’ it. I embodied all the theoretical stuff and found I could understand the differences in my relation to self/other/the world through the movement Dylan had us do.

Dylan has researched and created many experiential processes that help us explore evolutionary theory and enhance our personal and collective potential in these times. My friends have raved about his 16 Ways. Check out this 16 Ways Video! It is awesome.

This February, Dylan will be in New York City and other spots in the USA, offering his profound work. You can sign up by going here. Here is a blurb from his site.

“Embody and enjoy the full spectrum of energies in your life with body movement, breath, words, images…night and day, winter and summer, empty and full, chaos and order – we experience life as cycling between pairs of opposite energies. As time passes, however, we often become more comfortable with one way of being and less comfortable with the other. Before we know it, we are over-doing what feels comfortable and avoiding what feels uncomfortable. In certain ways, we begin to resist life’s natural flow between opposites. This resistance of loss of flow forms the root of our stress and suffering. To restore flow to any system is to restore health and happiness.”

  1. I will be attending Dylan and Peter Merry’s module within the 6 days of the Authentic Leadership in Action (ALIA Europe) from the 10th to the 16th January in the Netherlands. The module is called: An Integral Practice for Evolutionary Leadership and Change. http://www.aliainstitute.org/programs/2010europe/module05.html

I am very excited and looking forward to experience this approach of fully embodiment of the theory, since I am too interested in adding this component of body work in my hosting work.

I will be sharing my experiences here with you.

    Love,

    Valentine
